FEW POINTS as we end this up…. and what I know so far....
1. UNIFORM turn in. Information is coming soon for a time and place is TBD. The athletic director is currently working on a process with county administration. PLEASE TURN IN YOUR GEAR, yes seniors, when the date and time is announced.
2. Spirtwear orders. The vendor has already ordered the supplies for the gear, so I can’t get a refund. I will pick this up and pass it out at a later date TBD. To help, I will try and order the same gear for next year.
3. Socks Some of you have not paid for the socks, please place the money in your bag when it gets turned in. JV cost is $10 as they only got blue socks, varsity is $20. Please keep the socks and they will be used for next year. For players moving between JV and Varsity: you will have to buy new pair next year as they are different brands.
4. Meal orders. Any checks will not be cashed. I will void them out. I will not return them unless you absolutely need them.
5. Beard ending… What is become of it? Please vote at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfIYKi64xaumsV2bArln0Q9MrrWdheeem_ApYilUYfQ28WdGQ/viewform?usp=sf_link
Some parting words, from a man of few words…..
Well, that did not go the way any of us planned, an ending in March with tears in my eyes. While this moment in time is hard for us all to comprehend, the season is over before it even started. I hope you will reflect on the joy and learning moments that sports brings to you, especially soccer, when this whole virus thing is over. Life may not always go as planned, but there is always something to be learned from it. Always look back on the hard times and find the positives in it. For me, this moment reminds me to never take anything for granted, to enjoy the happy moments that much more, and to look for good in all bad things that happen. For you seniors, I have a few parting words below and I am saddened that the intensity you brought to your last season could not be shown on the field. For all the rest, I look forward to having you back playing for your school next year.
Diego R - The soccer career that was not … from hurting your ACL in your Junior year to Covid19 in your senior year. When you were on the field, I could see the excitement of being back.
Jonny R - The silent leader and the man with the moves. You have a way to observe and then turn up the intensity when you need to. This was your time to shine on the field, but I know you will find something bigger, just as you found a way to goal and use soccer as your learning tool.
Andrew R - The man with a lot to say, and the skills on the field to back it up. It was great to see you mature with your personality and leadership. From the early days of me wondering if you were listening, to seeing you put my words to actions with your leadership and intensity. I know you are going to play in college, please remember to love the game and enjoy the moment.
Lucas G - My silent sounding board. You read the game on the field and directed the action from the back, and always had a good pulse on the team. Keep that calm composure and make great things happen.
Gerardo N - The man with the skills and talent to do anything on the field, and the heart and conviction to do anything off of it. You have a way to relax on the field, as if everything is going in slow motion. I see that silent confidence off the field, as well, in the way you offer to help others. Please keep reaching to play the game and succeed in life at the highest levels.
For all of you seniors, I could see that you had matured and knew that this last season was one that you were going to make special. Please use the small bits of knowledge I have given each of you and go play life with the joy, focus and excitement you have shown for the game of soccer.
